I like to participate in photography challenges, as well as drawing challenges. I did once attempt a writing challenge, but that’s sort of a long, ongoing thing. Anywho, the point is photography challenges. In particular one that I was creating with a friend of mine.
Our March theme last year was Pet Rock, so you were to create your very own pet rock and use the prompts to photograph him… or her, in various wacky scenarios. It was the most fun I’ve had with a photography challenge. I felt that it was very creative, which is why I’ve decided to make a post about it.
So, I chose a triangular shaped rock and named him Igneous or Iggy for short. Get it? Though I’m unsure if he’s actually an igneous rock, but I liked it, so that’s his name.
Watching his favourite film.
Playing a game (rock, paper, scissors anyone?). That Paper is a shifty so-and-so.
Taking a nap
Trying some new food (hot buttered rice… for breakfast! It’s comfort food).
We enjoyed a lovely spring-time picnic. However, the new rock friend he was meeting was kind of shifty. We didn’t stay long.
Enjoying the midway.
Playing on his drum.
He finally decided on his Halloween costume. Wonder Woman!
Iggy did a pretty fab self-portrait. Made his mummy so proud!
That time that Iggy had a really hard day.
But bath time playing pretend Pirates of the Caribbean and he was right as rain again.
Caught him up, way past his bedtime, reading his favourite book… The Lord of the Rings.
Oh… that day he ran into his old nemesis, Paper.
Enjoying a glorious spring-time sunset.
Window shopping the newest nail polish colours. He really wanted the Tuck It In My Tux red.
That time he got mixed up with a rough crowd. They weren’t bad people per say , they just wanted to use Iggy as their new home.
Caught him making a mess in my sewing things.
So as punishment, I made him help me fold the towels. He was quite good at it actually, and thought all of the colours were so pretty!
Having fun skydiving.
His pet, Baby Hippo, got into a spot of bother, but Iggy went out on the ledge to save her, so all is well.
That time he won the Polo championship. It was a great day!
His first date. He took the super foxy Swedish Christmas Goat to the discoteque.
Iggy has a ginormous crush on Legolas. I suppose he must have been day dreaming about him, but somehow he used his teleportation powers and a really pretty, rather upset Elf started appearing in our backyard. Let me tell you, that was a time getting him back into his book!
Russian language studies.
Our trip to the beach ended with Iggy becoming quite good at surfing.
Our mini holiday to Egypt, where Iggy saw a very pretty girl in the Bazaar.
We went to the Opera for his birthday. He’s such a big fan.
Iggy’s friend Baby Beaver had a bit of a meltdown and had to go to the spa. My cat’s medical opinion was that Baby Beaver would be just fine, she just needed a nice moss wrap.
With Iggy’s teleportation powers, he could zoom us back to 1979 for a rock concert; Van Halen’s first world tour. It was fantastic!
To celebrate the end of a very long month, Iggy hosted a lovely high tea with his friends Mini Buffalo and Little Fox.
